Road Race

This weekend was a nice change of pace.  

Minnie had her yearly checkup and did not have any allergic reactions to the vaccines this year - hooray!

We visited our friend's brilliant new pet store (more on that this week)

On Sunday we rode our bikes over to the state park & farm near our house.

And low and behold - a road race was taking place in the park!

I may have accidentally rode my bike into the finish line...

I'm still trying to work on my photography and more importantly working in the manual setting.

Lately

I recently acquired a new lens (50 mm f/1.8) and have been testing it out on all the random objects around the house - case in point the Nutcracker above.

I've also moved away from using/relying on the auto setting on my camera and taking more photos in manual - thanks to this!

I've also been planning out several blog projects which I will be announcing shortly.

On Sunday I wrote and baked the whole day - it was lovely.

Over The Weekend

This past weekend was filled with dinner parties running late into the night with long distance best friends, early spring walks along the lake, the first backyard gathering of the season and Easter goodness. It was delightful.
